Micromobility Case Study Graphics
To better understand the public’s access to micromobility options for first and last mile commutes with respect to public transportation stations, this case study looks into its environmental design as the impetus of micromobility integration. Written by Angela Sanguinetti and Beth Ferguson, “Facilitating Micromobility for First and Last Mile Connection with Public Transit through Environmental Design: A Case Study of California Bay Area Rapic Trransit Stations” features graphics that highlights key findings.

The Process
Although each graphic had varying needs, they all followed a similar process. As a jumping off point, Beth provided a base idea— sometimes that meant outlining key elements that needed to be on the final design, while other times it meant providing a base graphic that
needed refining. In both cases, I begin with setting a visual language by redesigning each element, ensuring all graphics had a similar feel through its color, font, layout and style. Afterwards, I share updates with Beth and begin the finalization process through each iteration.
