Kali Modular Raft
With the rise of sea water levels and sinking cities, Kali presents a solution to mitigate flooding caused by infrastructure inefficiency. The Process
Growing up in Jakarta, a city that is both sinking and frequently experiences flooding due to infrastructure inefficiency, I’ve always wanted to create a project that presents a solution with respect to its societal context. This project ebbed and flowed between various forms
and iterations. From being inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean to cranberry harvesting, Kali is a testament to exploring the world and the various factions of society that could hold just the right amount of brilliance to implement into a new solution.
