LifePack Camping Gear
By expanding upon what comfort truly means for new campers, LifePack implements modularity that allows for the expansion of its usage. Not only could it be used as a comfortable bed, but it could also serve as furniture, as well as a waterproof bag— making it the Swiss Army knife of sleeping bags. With a subscription based business plan rooted in sustainably connecting new campers to introductory gear, LifePack also aims to aid the homeless in insuring comfort wherever they go.

The Process
LifePack began with looking at the bed as a portable home. Inspired by those experiencing homelessness, we wanted to design a more versatile sleeping bag— one that could be used as an easily portable shelter and seating for any user. As I was prototyping the shape and usability of the sleeping bag, I realized that modularity
was key in maintaining the product’s shape in its usage transformations, and its sustainability through localized mending. As the project evolved into its subscription-based business plan, LifePack became the glue that connects new campers with great gear, while also equipping comfort to those who need it most.
